Welcome to the official site of ABGPS!

The Association of Black Graduate and Professional Students (ABGPS) aspires to serve as a support group for all Black graduate and professional students here at the University of Missouri. As an organization, ABGPS seeks to assist in monitoring the academic progress of Black graduate and professional students, as well as supply them with information to promote a more positive experience at MU.

Objectives of ABGPS

  • To Inform: ABGPS facilitates improved communication between faculty and students and informs students about major concerns of the University as well as the community.
  • To Provide a Social Outlet: ABGPS sponsors extracurricular activities that provide students an opportunity to network with other minority students.
  • To Provide Academic Assistance: ABGPS offers leadership opportunities and programming to broaden the talents and abilities of its members and offers enrichment to other students and organizations on campus and in the community.
