Upcoming
Rush Events

We just finished informal rush for the Fall 2006 semester but we will be having rush events throughout the semester for those who are interested in joining 2nd semester. We will keep you posted on those dates, so please check back soon.

Rush stirs the fraternity into action at the beginning of each semester. Rush is our fraternity's opportunity to meet new students (or older students with interest in fraternity life), and their opportunity to meet us. Students who attend various rush events are those that are interested in getting to know the brothers of AEPi. It is the student's chance to decide if they enjoy spending time with the brotherhood and if they would accept a bid--a formal offer to begin learning about and becoming a member in the fraternity--from everyone of the current brothers have. Likewise, the brothers attend rush to meet people who are interested in joining the fraternity and to judge who they would like to offer bids to. The rush concludes with AEPi's offering bids to various students. This being the first step on the road to brotherhood.
The easy answer: Anybody who loves to have fun. The more complete answer: There are two types of people that attend our rush events. Everyone is invited to join us in our festivities, and many people come just to have fun. There is also the group of people interested in learning about life with AEPi; those people make an extra effort to attend rush events and to spend time talking with brothers. Oftentimes a person will not initially have the intention of rushing a fraternity but will enjoy the events so much that their interest begins to grow. So there is no need to attend a rush event with the intention of eventually receiving a bid.
The Mu Dueteron Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded in 1947, and it continues to be active on the Mizzou campus. Our emphasis on brotherhood and friendship exemplifies Mu Dueteron chapter's dedication to the founding principles of Alpha Epsilon Pi - courage, faith and truth. Our social schedule keeps us busy all year long. Parties, with and without sororities, Jewish holidays, Homecoming, and Greek Week, gives us the chance to relax and have a great time. In addition, we leave room in the schedule for the random parties and brotherhood only events. Our chapter has active alumni support. We keep in contact with our alumni and also with the international organization. Networking is important to all brothers as we recognize the potential benefits of brotherhood, post-graduation. Alpha Epsilon Pi alumni all over the country provide a solid foundation in the uncertain "job search" times around and after graduation as well as invaluble insight from their own extensive experiences. Alpha Epsilon Pi looks for people who have something to offer the fraternity. We encourage our brothers and our new initiates to be active on campus as well, and we have brothers involved in a wide array of activities including the Inter-Fraternity Council, Hillel, and academic honors programs. Rushing Alpha Epsilon Pi only involves meeting the brothers. We're a tight group, but if you can be yourself and feel right at home, AEPi might be the place for you. We'd love to get a chance to know you, so stop by the house sometime this year or check this page for the rush schedule Fall and Spring semesters.
