Our chapter, Omicron, at the University of Missouri is Alpha Phi’s 15th oldest. It was founded in 1910 and has been thriving ever since. Currently, members of Omicron are planning for the chapter’s 100th anniversary in 2010. We will be excited to welcome hundreds of Alpha Phi to Columbia in a few years.

The original chapter house, at 906 S. Providence, was built in 1923 in a Tudor style. It was later remodeled to the current structure in 1955 – doubling its size.

A major renovation was completed on the house just a few years ago. New furniture, carpeting, paint, a central air conditioning system and high speed Internet were all part of 1999 facelift. We also own an apartment-style annex behind the house. Typically, older members live in the annex.

The beautiful white house now stands proud on one of Columbia’s main throughways. Recently, the house was honored with a Citation of Commendation from the Federated Garden Club of Columbia for its lush and colorful flower gardens, which help to beautify the city.
