You can create anything from a traditional journal to a 3D alternative
book using found objects. Supplies will be provided, however students
are encouraged to bring in objects you want to include in your

Mosaic Coasters

These aren’t your grandma’s coasters. Use rocks, glass,
and tile shards to create funky coasters to protect your furniture

Branch Out Earrings

Zines are like printed blogs where you can publish your thoughts
and drawings in booklets instead of the internet. Zines, popular
in underground communities for decades, are finally making their
way to mainstream bookstores. Let the Craft Studio show you why
these booklets are so popular and help you start your own manifesto.

Image Transfers

You can transfer images onto almost any surface using several
different techniques. This workshop will show you how to transfer
images with Polaroid film, a heat transfer tool, a bleach pen,
liquid drain cleaner, and more.

Improve Your Photography

Would you like to get more out of your camera? Whether you use
film or digital, the basic techniques of composition are the same.
We will discuss lighting and composition and then go outside to
take photographs together. There will be plenty of time and individual
attention to ask questions and get help with specific problems.

Arts & Crafts Style Picture Frames

The simple elegance of the Arts & Crafts style is built upon
quality craftsmanship. This workshop will teach you how to construct
a picture frame in the craftsman style of the late 19th Century
and cover techniques such as jointing, planing, sanding, routing
and finishing.
