Process When someone shares an idea with us, we conduct a preliminary market
analysis to determinate whether the idea has an educational application
and can be a benefit for the University. This analysis continues after
the initial step of researching and planning. A business development
manager will meet with you to make a preliminary evaluation of developing
feasibility, potential application and student needs. Be prepared to spend on average two hours every week to meet with a WDT's staff member and to discuss all the steps of planning, developing, testing and implementation. Most of the projects can be completed in about one month. Project request (guidelines): - Technology related request must be submit through work order request link - Within 2 business hours someone from WDT will contact you to set an appointment in order to evaluate your needs. - After the WDT employee accepts the work order the project timeline set below becomes effective - After the work order is completed you need to provide your feedback for additional adjustments, tests or acceptance of the product - Submit an evaluation sheet. It will serve as a closing ticket for your work order. Project Timelines** (examples): - Altering one page, picture or contact/event information on your web site up to one business day - Adding a module (new group of web pages) to your existing web site 3-5 business days. - Complete redesign of a web site using your information 14 business days. - Building a new web site for a new unit or services (creating a content) - 1 month - Database driven module (collect, manipulate and display information) using PHP scripting and a database (MySQL) - 1 month - Requests related to Windows/Mac based programs - documents, spreadsheets, macros, and creating interactive *pdf files up to 4 business day! - Password changes and permissions, and creating web folders on student web server up to 2 business days. **We reserve our right, depending on the work flow and priority assignments to change those days with a small margin for which you will be promptly notified.
