The mission of FGSA is described in the following statements:
- To promote the growth of professional, educational and research goals of Forestry graduate students attending the
University of Missouri-Columbia.
- To provide a forum through which graduate students in the Forestry Department can interact and support each other
through past experience as well as collaborative thinking.
- To provide a means by which Forestry graduate students can use a collective voice to express concerns regarding programs
and policies at the departmental, college and university level.
- To provide a mechanism for the dissemination of information about available resources for professional and scholarly
development.
