Publication of a popular "Ringing Cedars" series of books by Vladimir Megre led to the emergence of a back-to-the-land movement in Russia. Tree planting and sustainable rural development are central to this burgeoning movement. I am studying the value system / motivations of people who decide to adopt a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle and plant trees as a foundation for their future livelihood.
