26th ANNUAL GPC RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES FORUM (RCAF) (2009 Top Finishers)

Dear Graduate or Professional Student,

Thank you for your interest in the 2009 Research and Creative Activities Forum (RCAF), sponsored by the Graduate Professional Council. This year is the 26th anniversary of the forum, and we plan to celebrate by providing graduate and professional students an opportunity to present their research to each other as well as established faculty members and researchers from across Missouri.

We encourage you to take part in this rich MU tradition, celebrating the incredible contributions the graduate and professional students make to our campus. The event will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 in the Bond Life Sciences Center from 9am-4pm. After the forum, an awards banquet will be held to acknowledge top finishers. To participate, applicants are asked to give a 15 min presentation on their research or creative work. This will be followed by approximately 5 minutes for questions from the judges of that category. The top three presentations from each of the six categories will receive a cash award. After the presentations, entrants will receive valuable feedback from the panel of judges in their category.

This year's RCAF will feature prize amounts in each category for first, second, and third, receiving $250, $150, and $75, respectively. There will be six categories: Behavioral Sciences, Biological Sciences, Creative Arts/Humanities, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences/Law, and Veterinary Medicine/Medicine/Health Sciences.

Please feel free to direct questions about RCAF 2009 to RCAF2009@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Roberts
