The MU Medieval Reenactment Society

"And gladly would he learn, and gladly teach"  --Geoffrey Chaucer, Canterbury Tales

Greetings gentle traveler!  Whether you came here by intention or by chance, you are most welcome.

The MU Medieval Reenactment Society is a student organization created to study and recreate aspects of the middle ages, and to form a liaison when necessary between the University of Missouri - Columbia and the Society for Creative Anachronism.

The SCA and MRS are dedicated to teaching and learning about the Middle Ages through reenactment, and our primary activity is reenacting the time period before 1615 A.D.  What do we do, exactly?  Ask ten different members and you're likely to get ten different answers.  This is because our activities cover a broad spectrum -- we recreate just about any part of the middle ages that wasn't dangerous or unsanitary.  Most of all, though, we have fun.  Sound interesting?   Then please, investigate further:

What We Do:  What is a "persona?"   What activities are possible?  What is an "event" or a "demo?"  Why are SCA wars so nifty? Who We Are:  Includes links to other SCA web pages.
What's Going On:  Weekly meetings; fighter, archery, dance, and other practices; and the kingdom events calendar. Official Stuff:  Our Constitution and Bylaws and the MRS Officers.
