About Us

The purpose of the MU Freethought Alliance, as stated the organisation's Constitution, is: (1) To establish a peaceful and enriching environment wherein students use logic and reason to evaluate atheism, humanism, scepticism, and freethought. (2) To plan and execute various activities to educate students and community members about atheism and other non-religious philosophies.

The MU Freethought Alliance is an affiliated with the Campus Freethought Alliance (CFA)/Center for Inquiry - On Campus (CFI) which serves as an umbrella group uniting campus freethought groups around the world. CFA in 1996 under the sponsorship of the Council for Secular Humanism to promote freethought, scepticism, secularism, humanism, philosophical naturalism, rationalism, and atheism on campuses across North America and around the world.
