News Letter 2.5
Posted below is a message from the forums, so you may have already read it. In other news, the power supply went out on my computer. As soon as I fix it, I'll be sending out the list of who is in what group. (If you're confused about the 'group' notion, read the paragraphs below.) I hope I'll be able to fix it by Friday. If not, I'll have to move my harddrive to another machine and get to it that way. Happy New year.
<<It's time to get over the new year and get ready for the beginning of the first official MUGD design semester. As some of you may know, I've broken up the members into 3 seperate groups: The Java, The C++, and the Visual Basic. Each group has 6-8 people in it. The objective for this semester is to work within these groups to design and begin the programming of a game. I know you all have very diverse talents, so work together and try to establish a role within the group that is both resourceful and fun for you.
At the end of the semester, we'll take a look at each of the groups and see who managed to be the most productive over the semester. I don't know if there will be any prizes (or, more so, who would judge) but I assure you finishing a game project will be prize enough.
I'll be sending out an e-mail within the next week with your group, the members within, and their e-mail addresses. It would be in everyone's best interest to e-mail one another and start getting a feel of what you all want to do as a group.
Remember: You all have different ideas of what you want to do. You have to stop, collaborate and listen to each other (Ha. Ha.). There will be plently of these project in the upcoming semesters, so your idea will get coded out sooner or later.
Sorry for the lull in contact: With the holidays in full swing, myself, along with everyone else (I'm sure) have been working and spending time with family and friends. I hope we all come back refreshed and posessing more money and entertainment goodies.
Oh, oh! There will be a meeting (IN WOLPERS, again at 6 PM) the Wednesday Winter semester starts back up. It will be dedicated to getting the groups together and meeting each other (if you haven't already) and discussing group changes and other problems.
See you in January!
