Missouri Rowing Club
The University of Missouri Rowing Club is the premire rowing club in Mid-Missouri. Our team, created in 2000, attended our first regatta in 2002 and has been regularly attending 3-5 regattas each spring and fall ever since.
We gladly accept rowers of all skill levels; most current team members began with little or no rowing experience. Coxswains (the person who yells at you) are also always needed. If you think you have what it takes, give it a try. New faces are always welcome.
Currently, the team rows four boats: a Vespoli 8 (Natalie and Julia or Natulia), a Vespoli 4 (Cool Breeze), a WinTech 4 (John Taggert Quin or JTQ), and a pair/double (name TBD). We practice at Providence Access on Perche Creek. It's a little creek that feeds into the Missouri River. Its charm grows on you as you spend more time there, as do the 12 pound mosquitos.
