*What is Psi Chi and Psychology Club?
Psi Chi/Psychology Club is a student organization that welcomes ALL students interested in psychology.  It is not necessary to be a psychology major to join. Psi Chi/Psychology Club meets as one group, and activities and events include guest speakers, field trips, graduate school panels, community service projects, and social events.

*Background
PSI CHI is a national honor society in psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology.  Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.  There are over 900 chapters of Psi Chi around the country.

*What is Psychology Club and its requirements?
PSYCHOLOGY CLUB is for any student interested in psychology.  The Psychology Club meets at the same time and place as Psi Chi, and there are no requirements for joining.

*What is Psi Chi and its requirements?
Membership in Psi Chi is open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in psychology who meet the following minimum requirements:  the student must have an overall GPA of 3.0, have completed at least nine credit hours in psychology courses (usually 3 courses), and must have a GPA of 3.0 in completed psychology courses.  There is also a one-time fee for the lifetime membership to Psi Chi. Psi Chi members are expected to attend all Psi Chi/Psych Club meetings and to participate in the community service project.

May 4: Initiation/Awards Banquet: Presentation of Faculty and Student Awards, Initiation of New Members, Attendance Awards
May 15: Arts & Sciences (Psychology) Commencement Ceremonies! Congrats Seniors!!!

Note: Our Secretary does take attendance, and regular attendance is expected. Attendance will not be recorded for the events on March 30th, April 16th, April 27th, or May 4th.
