Sustain Mizzou is a non-partisan 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization run by student volunteers at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Our mission is to promote a sustainable way of life at the University of Missouri-Columbia through education, cooperation, and local action regarding the environment.
Meetings
Sustain Mizzou meets every other Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Chambers Auditorium, above the bookstore. Meetings typically last one hour and include local, organic, or zero-waste food! Current projects and a sustainability topic are discussed every meeting.
Executive Meetings are every Monday at 5:00 p.m. in the MU Sustainability Office.

Sustainability Peer Resource Outreach (SPROUT) is the Sustainability Office’s peer education group. We provide educational programming to residence halls, classrooms, and organizations on a variety of sustainability topics. We’re currently looking for students to start training in April. Please email completed applications to mizzousprout@gmail.com by March 26th.

For campus, over 4 tons of recyclable materials are thrown away every day. For Recycle Mountain, on March 16, we are bringing 4 tons of compressed recyclables (aluminum, paper, plastic) to Lowry Mall to show students our impact. Come hang out and spread info on how Mizzou can improve its recycling.
