Bike Fest

Bike Fest Meeting

This spring of 2008 will be the second annual Bike Fest event organized by Sustain Mizzou. The Bike Fest takes place on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus on Lowery Mall in mid-April. Area partners will gather on the mall to educate students about bike safety and to promote their business or organization. Students receive free Shakespeare's Pizza once they have heard a bike safety tip from each of the partners. A series of classes will be offered to teach students about bike safety and basic bike maintenance and repair. All students who attend a class will receive free bike gear. In 2007 15 helmets, 15 safety lights and many other bike gear accessories were given away to class attendees.
