Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Triangle Coalition?
Triangle Coalition, or TriCo, is a student organization at the University
of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou) serving gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and
questioning students. TriCo is comprised mostly of Mizzou students, but also
has Mizzou faculty, Columbia College students, Stevens College students, and
Moberly Area Community College students as members. TriCo is primarily a social
group, but many of our membership are actively involved in Columbia's GLBT community,
and we provide a great number of opportunities to get involved in community
activities.
2. What do we do?
TriCo has two official meetings and two socials per month. Each meeting has
a specific topic, but we never focus exclusively on it. We're very open to suggestions
for speakers, topics, or other activities. Socials consist of varying fun activities
around Columbia or campus locales. TriCo also hosts two Drag Shows during the
year.
3. When do we meet?
Here is a list of dates for our meetings and socials.
Anyone is welcome to attend.
4. Who usually attends?
20-30 GLBT students, friends of, or allies from Mizzou and nearby colleges.
5. Do you have a newsletter or e-mail list I can be on?
Yes! Contact us and give us your e-mail address, and
we'll add you to the TriCo listserve, which will keep you informed of our meetings,
socials, and other GLBT events in the mid-Missouri area.
6. I want to be involved Columbia's GLBT scene, who should I see?
