Campers learn to  respect and enjoy nature through a variety of activities designed to give them first hand experiences in the great outdoors.

The Camp Mudd staff are carefully selected University students who are chosen for their teaching skills, maturity, camp experience, and love of children.  Our counselors are students working on their degrees in Elementary Education, Child and Family Development, Parks and  Recreation, and related fields.

Prior to camp, the camp counselors participate in an intensive training program to refine their group leadership skills, first aid, CPR training, and  nature skills.  The staff dedicates time and energy to develop a variety of fun and educational activities designed to make attending Camp Mudd a summer to remember!
