A History of Zeta Tau Alpha
Zeta Tau Alpha was formed at Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia in 1898. When nine young women realized their potential as great friends, they began secretly meeting as the group "???" until they established what would eventually be known as Zeta Tau Alpha.

In 1924, Zeta Tau Alpha reached the University of Missouri-Columbia, as the 48th national Zeta Tau Alpha chapter. Named Alpha Psi, Zeta Tau Alpha is now one of 13 sororities on the Mizzou campus. With almost 200 women, Alpha Psi has reached great heights in areas such as membership, finances, scholastics and intramurals.
